& Disasters [Tödliche Leidenschaft] Directed
by: Werner Hirsch D 2003/4, 26` 07, DV, colour, english version
With:
Buddy Schnitzel, Sylvester Alone, Toni Transit, Lo di Macho, Johnny Kingsize,
Océan, Fronck de Sáster, Tino della bella Italia, Blanco Müll,
Santos Maria, Jack New, Das Bestrasierte Mädchen, Werner Hirsch ---------------------------------------- Gesture
for gesture the actors imitate Mexican melodrama which has been acquired for one
dollar in Los Angeles. But unlike to the original the imitation is casted with
DragKings. The characters are positioned on a equal level of elegance, social
class and masculinity. Adjusted to the production conditions the story gets permanently
adapted and from time to time abandoned.

 | | passing
suburbia Regie: Beate Rathke [Justin Time] + Christine Woditschka
[Berlin] DV, 4` 21, without text With: Anja Schroeter, Kerstin
Florkiw, Rochus Obscurus, Beate Rathke, Shirin Kunze ---------------------------------------- The
setting of the film is the suburbia of Berlin, a new estate of terraced houses
called Neu Lindenberg. Very slowly the camera follows the row of monotone
housings, the perfect example of heterosexual normative family life. The stream
of action is irritated by the (dis)appearance of unexpetcted disturbances. Like
in Western movies, Drag Kings occupy urban space. Does the house of one's own
keep it's promise of freedom? Contact: ate.blond@gmx.de
